Yin Yoga:
All Levels
This is a restorative class where poses are held longer (1-4 minutes).
Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to connective tissues of the body-tendons, fascia and ligaments with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility and mobility.
Slow Flow
(1-2)
This is a gentle Vinyasa flow designed to connect movement with breath. Each inhale and exhale join with movement building strength and flexibility while connecting body and mind at a pace that is right for each student. Class ends with yoga nihdra to prepare yourself physically and mentally to rest.
.
Chair Yoga
This is a gentle form of yoga with seated and standing postures using the support of the chair and other props when needed.
Benefits include
Improved strength & flexibility
Reduced stress and better concentration
Breathing exercises boost energy and your mood.
Lowers blood pressure and improves circulation as well as protecting joints.
Yoga For Men
Yoga experts say women tend to see classes as refuges while men see challenges.
“Women are shaped in a way that permits an unusually large range of motion and joint play. In yoga, the pelvis is the central pivot for extreme bending of the legs, spine and torso.”
“Guys have more muscle (one reason for their relative inflexibility) and can thus force themselves into challenging poses they might otherwise find impossible. It seems a plausible explanation for blinding pain.”
“It’s men’s strength turning against them“
Join us for a different type of class designed to open up men’s shoulders, back, hips and legs.
We will use a multitude of props to support the body into a safe position and develop stronger, more purposeful breath work to release connective tissue.
Kids Yoga
This class will be geared towards 7-12 year olds. Kids will learn just how amazing their bodies and minds are as we make fun yoga postures and lots of creative games
